Observations by a Silly Little Negro

May I have your attention, please? To placate or calm the reactions of any Progressive Neo-Liberal Democrats reading this column, I don’t believe I’m a silly little Negro. I would describe myself as an American first, a devout integrationist, who believes in, and continuously works to maintain a colorblind society, that Martin Luther King Jr., dedicated his life to. As stated in previous articles I have authored over the last four decades, being colorblind has little or nothing to do with not seeing or being unaware you’re, black, Asian, white, Latino, or whatever. That is impossible, if not unnecessary and extraneous at best. It is the difference between being “aware” of a person or group’s immutable characteristics, as juxtaposed to “obsession.” An obsession can quickly devolve into infatuation or mania. At its worse, it is an addiction that can morph into a phobia, if not a neurosis.
Obsession is what today’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI), CRT, and Cultural Diversity heretics get excruciatingly wrong. Once more, to be colorblind is simply the discernment, the analytic if you will, between “awareness vs obsession”. For example, I am aware that my wife is a Native-Born German immigrant raised in the rubble of Post World War II Germany, while I am “American” who happens to be black. That is a big so what for both of us. Also, as the title of this column suggests, I love to poke fun at myself and others who still worship the false gods of their race, Exodus 20:3. So, let’s begin.
The racial discordance that still exists in America is no more than you might find in any multiethnic culture such as the United States. America has done more than any other nation to provide and promote "opportunities” to all of its citizens. Contrary to what you may hear from the loud and very affluent influential race hustlers like Maxine Waters (D-CA), Rev. Al Sharpton (Obama’s chief advisor on matters of race), as well as the perpetually offended “real black people” who run organizations like the NAACP, NAN, Congressional Black Caucus, and the current neo-Marxists of the Black Lives Matter, American culture is not racist. As an added note, since its inception, Blacks Lives Matter Global has received millions of dollars through various Chinese Companies like Huawei, which are controlled by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and their military.
Despite the very selective depiction of law enforcement acting badly as in the case of George Floyd or the beatdown administered by poorly trained black officers in Memphis. The most significant existential dangers that blacks face in America do not come from white racists or biased law enforcement. The greatest everyday threat to the lives and safety of many black Americans comes from other blacks. What is tragic is that most, if not all Black Americans know this to be true, but play a weird, if not deadly, “psychological transference within themselves” as their black brethren continue to murder one another with impunity. In addition, many of the ongoing difficulties that plague the black community have little or nothing to do with race. Without apology, as stated in many of my previous articles, the greatest obstacle for a large segment of the black community is not racism (systemic or otherwise) but culture and behavior.
When we look at the propensity for criminal behavior within many black communities, this is a significant impediment to black socio-economic progress. The stats are horrific. Whether homicides, violent assaults, robbery, illegal drug trade, or domestic violence, the black community (especially within its underclass) excels in these self-inflicted cultural degradations. To take one example, according to current FBI and DOJ crime statistics, blacks who make up around 13% of the United States population commit over 53% of all homicides. Welfare dependency accompanied by the breakdown of the black family since Great Society entitlements of the late 1960s have led to the epidemic of single-parent households. Before the so-called benefits of President Johnson’s Great Society Programs, over 70 percent of black households had two parents in the home. Today, it has shifted entirely around, where single-parent families, many of them welfare-dependent, approach nearly 75%. Other tertiary cultural behaviors have had a devastating effect on hamstringing blacks' progress. Once again, recalcitrant and horribly self-destruction comportment engaged in by a significant portion of blacks have little or nothing to do with racism. The value of personal discipline or delayed gratification is often not present in the socialization of many in the black underclass. Also, too many young blacks don't take advantage of and shun education opportunities in many cases. Even when I was in high school in the 1960s, the charge by many young blacks was that you were "acting white" when you tried to speak or write proper American English or if you even liked to read.
Fundamental civic responsibility also seems to escape many in the black underclass. This can be as simple as picking up trash in their communities before it becomes an eyesore. But once more, this would probably be seen as acting white, in the screwed-up cultural nomenclature of many in the legacy black underclass.
But returning to the area of education, I often paraphrase the words of the late black economist Walter Williams. He once opined that education has always been unsettled in black communities for numerous reasons. Many legacy black Americans and their children are not imbued with the critical life philosophy that "learning" is virtually the same as "opportunity."
These are some of the cultural-economic cancers that only the black community can address. However, as I have been pointing out for decades, that was often met with copious accusations by the many Professional Blacks (not to be confused with Black Professionals), that I am a self-loathing Uncle Tom, and generally a “very unlikeable person.” Black Americans need to confront and circumvent the “victim mentality” that is too often nurtured and encouraged by the black political class as well as the temporal clergy of the Diversity Equity and Inclusion Industry.
